**UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED, THESE ARE THE ONLY TOURNAMENTS WE ARE RECOMMENDING AS A CLUB FROM NOW UNTIL THE END OF THE SEASON.**
*WE WILL ALWAYS RUN A WEIGH IN FOR ANY OF OUR WRESTLERS TO BE ABLE TO COMPETE*
AS A CLUB, WE ONLY FEEL COMFORTABLE RECOMMENDING TOURNAMENTS THAT ARE ATTENDED BY AT LEAST ONE OF THE FOLLOWING COACHES, Travis McBurney, Austin Killinger, Joshua Hogan, Bowan Murray, Jacob Tangpricha. Everyone is free to wrestle wherever they choose but be advised that proper coaching is a crucial part of your child’s journey through the sport and forcing competition without adequate coaching is a common pitfall for many parents that leads to more negatives than positives.

2/14 – 2/15 Top Town Throwdown @ Washburn Rural
Dear Parents,
I hope this message finds you and your young athletes thriving both on and off the mat. As you know, TBTWC not only aims to teach the skills of wrestling but also to instill values of discipline, commitment, and community spirit in our young members. In the spirit of this mission we host the Top Town Throwdown each season! For the 1st time ever we will have 2 DAYS of wrestling at home, filled with fierce competition, personal growth, and community celebration. To make this event a resounding success, we need more than just our talented wrestlers; we need the strength, dedication, and time of our incredible F.A.M.I.L.Y. community. Volunteering at this event isn’t just about ensuring its smooth execution; it’s about modeling the values we teach. Your involvement is a tangible demonstration to our young athletes of what it means to support and uplift one another, embodying the very essence of teamwork and commitment we strive to instill in them. Whether you can spare a half a day, a whole day, or both days, your presence and participation will make a monumental difference. The task we need help with are for the most part simple, but every role is crucial to the event’s success and to fostering the supportive environment we all cherish. Beyond the tasks and the logistics, your commitment to showing up and giving back is a powerful message to your child. It says, ‘I am here for you, not just in victory, but in every effort you put forth.’ This is about more than a wrestling tournament; it’s about building a community that lifts every member within it, setting a precedent for our young wrestlers about what it truly means to be part of a team.
When signups and information come out early next week, please sign up as a volunteer for our upcoming tournament. Let’s show our young athletes the strength of their community, let’s give them a day of wrestling they’ll always remember, and let’s stand together, not just as individual families, but as a united, supportive community, committed to the growth and success of EVERY child who steps onto the mat.
